The spring washer fits onto a dome-shaped projection on the rear of a television receiver's plastic housing or front panel and forms a rigid link with the plastic housing by hooks. The washer has a hole for the self-tapping screw that returns the crt. The washer is concave to prevent the screw working loose (spring action).
