This invention relates to a rack of special design to allow the storage or display of orthogonally shaped objects, for example books, tape cassette boxes or video cassettes, such that a choice in storage position is provided, making it easy to differentiate between adjacent objects. Such a rack will be unchanging in section along its useful supporting length, with the section formed in such a way that lines of contact are provided between the rack and the objects supported allowing selection between alternative stable storage positions.
