The trailer has its earthing rod connected to the support via a guide that allows the position of the rod to be changed relative to the support whilst preserving the direction of the axis of the rod w.r.t. the support. The guide has at least one pivoted arm connected pivotally to the chassis of the trailer and pivoting about an axis parallel to the long axis of the earthing rod. The arm comprises two sections linked together.
