PURPOSE:To obtain an AC-type timer featuring a long life time even with a continuous use by reducing the heat generation of the voltage drop use resistor connected to the timer circuit and thus increasing the life time of the smoothing capacitor used in the IC-formed circuit. CONSTITUTION:Relay coil Ry of the output relay in the AC timer is connected to AC power source E in series to time limit switch output terminal Tt of timer circuit T and via diode D. At the same time, the serial circuit of constant voltage element 1 formed by the Zener diode and voltage drop resistance R is connected between the joint of relay coil Ry and diode D and power terminal Te of circuit T. Furthermore, smoothing capacitor C is connected in parallel to circuit T to reduce the voltage of resistance R at the actuating time of circuit T via element 1, thus reducing the heat generation quantity of resistance R. As a result, the life time of capacitor C provided to the IC-formed circuit can be increased, making possible the continuous conduction for the timer. |
