<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a multiplex detector of sufficient performance with a simple construction by lapping the first light detecting element which transmits the light of a wave length range longer than its detecting wave length range on the second light detecting element of a long wave length range. CONSTITUTION:A light detector is formed by lapping together a silicon light detecting element 11 which absorbs the light of shorter wave lengths than, for example, 1mum and transmits the light of wave lengths longer than 1mum on a germanium light detecting element 15 which absorbs light from short wave lengths to long wave lengths. Multiplex light 19 transmitted throuth light fibers 20 enters the detector from the silicon element 11 side. Shorter wave length light is absorbed by the silicon element 11 and generates detected voltage between electrodes on both ends. Longer wave length light is absorbed by the germanium element 15 and generates detected voltage between electrodes 16 and 17 on both ends.</p> |
