Novel acid amides of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 to R3, which are identical or different, denote hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, are prepared, starting from the corresponding carboxylic acids or their functional derivatives, by reaction with appropriately substituted amines or ureas. The novel compounds are distinguished by useful pharmacological properties, in particular by muscle relaxant, sedative, antiarrhythmic and anticonvulsive actions.
