Dial face for an analog clock or watch comprises a substrate coated with a colourant that contains a dyed resious film having a flat surface. The film is a tinted layer upon the substrate with a transparent stratum upon the tinted layer. The resinous film comprises a polyurethane or acrylic resin. The substrate is a Ni-plated brass plate. The prod. has a high-quality appearance due to its jewel-like glitter and is superior to prior-art al-dials.
