PURPOSE:To enable various functional materials to be rigidly sticked on an electrode base material so as to exert a new function on the title electrode by applying a complex electrodeposition process to the electrode base material so as to form an electrode layer. CONSTITUTION:Raney nickel particules, forming a dispersed phase in electrolytic solution, are rigidly sticked on the skeleton of a porous electrode base material 1 during its nickel plating, thereby forming an active surface 2 required for an electrode reaction. Elusion of aluminum in Raney nickel increases the number of fine porous so that a capillary force holds an electrolyte required for the electrode reaction, thereby enhancing an electrode property. |
