Taking alternative shapes e.g. rectangular or triangular in elevation, the load bearing panel(1) is of a hollow caison construction and may be bolted(17) one to similar panels to form building walls. A rigid frame defines the arrisses of a parallel-piped panel and forms a hollow interior which may be traversely by service cables(11) and filled with insulating material(3). At least one major face is boarded(12) and sealed(14). A horizontal section presents an angle iron(8) at each corner, the flanges(9) normal to the wall projecting away from the wall centre line, and the other flanges(10) projecting towards the panel interior. The angle irons are fixed to ring frames of flats(6) fixed to channel section cut-offs(17), boarding with selas being fixed(13) to the inset flanges(10), and fascia boards(20) being fixed to the inset board(12) by studs(22).
|
