PURPOSE:To make a check on the function of an interface controller controlling several input-output devices neither by connecting a new input-output device nor by providing hardware for a return connector. CONSTITUTION:Between input-output controllers 12a and 12b to which input- output devices 14a and 14b, and 15a and 15b are connected, data are transmitted and received via K bus 11 without reference to CPU13. During the transmission and reception of data, request signals to devices 14a to 15b are sent out from memory unit 18 and then supplied to one input terminal of AND gate 19, and a signal from K bus 11 is supplied to the other input terminal of gate 19, thereby inhibiting the transfer of request signals when K bus 11 is busy. The output of this gate 19 is connected to K bus 11 and control circuits 21 and 22 via FF circuit 20 and data are written via channel registers 23 and 24 according to requests to units 14a to 15b, thereby uning them for the function check of controllers 12a and 12b. |
