<p>The aquarium light comprises a bowl placed on the aquarium and containing a fluorescent tube, together with a choke coil and starter. It has a separate unit in series with the light and connected to this by cable, accommodating an isolating transformer. The unit can also incorporate the choke coil and a condenser for power factor correction, and a number of plug sockets for the connection of accessories such as the aeration pump. Its housing can be of shockproof plastics.</p> |
