Electron beam welding rig - with eccentric electron gun and eccentric adjustable rotatable workpiece support

Electron beam welding rig consists of a vacuum chamber with an electron gun on its top directing a beam vertically down, and a rotatable workpiece support at the bottom. The shaft of the support passes eccentrically to the centre line through the bottom of a lower part of the vacuum chamber which can be rotated through any angle relative to the upper part. The electron gun is also mounted eccentrically to the chamber centre line. Arrangement permits circular welds to be carried out automatically with any radius from zero to the sum of the two eccentricities. Rig is of simple design and has high precision.
