Small plant potting machine - has pushers to move pots along track defined by endless chain with pivoted grippers

Pots (3) are moved along a track (1) by pushers carried by an endless chain on a closed circuit (4). The chain carries a gripper in advance of each pusher and which can pivot in a vertical plane. A plant is inserted is inserted in each gripper so as to be held in correct planting position in the pot whilst passing through a pot filling station (33) which is fed by bucket conveyor. Surplus soil is wiped from the pot and a vibrator compacts the soil.
