PURPOSE:To shorten a time to convert a numeric value in an integer format to the numeric value in a floating point format by providing a code extending means to copy the code bit of an input to the high order bit of output data, an exponent generating means and an output means to output the numeric value in the floating point format. CONSTITUTION:An output numeric value 51 of an analog/digital converter 100 is held to an input holding means 10 by a write signal 52, and the numeric value in the integer format to be held is separated into a code bit 54 and a numeric value bit 11. The code bit 54 is extended to the width of 13 bits by a code extending means 2. On the other hand, in order to correct the input numeric value in the integer format and the point position of the output numeric value in the floating point format, an exponent part is generated by an exponent generating means 1 as 23 in a decimal number from the hypothesis of a data format. Thus, by combining an exponent bit 56 by the exponent generating means 1, a mantissa part high order bit 57 by the code extending part 2 and a mantissa part low order bit 55 obtained from the numeric value bit of the output of the input holding means, a numeric value 58 in the floating point format to have the same value as an input numeric value in the integer format can be obtained. |
