<p>The solar energy receiver includes a flat energy absorber (11) of sufficient thickness to resist high pressure. This absorber is reinforced by bracking ribs (111) and one or more flat sheets (112) on the inside surface of the absorber. These ribs encourage circulation of liquid by a thermal syphon effect. Cold liquid enters at the bottom of the available space between the ribs and flat sheets, and absorbs heat which has been received. This causes it to rise to the top of the space. The receiver has a glass pane (3) covering one surface and a semicircular or semielliptical section cylinder enclosing its other side. This is covered by insulating material. The receiver is supported by bolts (4) passing through the top edge of the cylinder at right angles to its length and the plane of the absorber.</p> |
