PURPOSE:To recover easily a pure oil component alone free from impurities such as degraded matter, sludge, contaminants, etc., by extraction treatment of a waste oil or waste grease with an organic solvent through a plastic thin-film, followed by removing the solvent. CONSTITUTION:A waste oil or waste grease such as that from lubricant, electical oil, various process oils, etc. is held in a cylindrical plastic thin-film of about 20mu thick, made from e.g. a polypropylene-polyethylene copolymer. The bottom of the film is then immersed in an organic solvent such as petroleum ether; and from the upper part, petroleum ether is made to flow down continuously to extract a pure lubricant component alone from the waste. The extracted component is then warmed to distil the petroleum ether off, thus recovering the pure oil and the petroleum ether respectively. |
