<p>Stimulating drink comprises a mixt. of (a) wine, (b) ethanol, brandy, rum or other strong alcoholic drink, (c) a sweetener, (d) fruit flavouring such as fruit juice, fruit oil or other fruit and (e) opt. other flavourings such as speces, spice extracts and synthetic flavourings such as brandy essence or rum essence. The alcohol content of the drink is >=75 (esp. >=100)% above the is approx. 12% alcohol content of known wines. The drinks have an enhanced fruit flavour and a consistency between that of wine and that of a liqueur. The drinks can be diluted to taste with water or soda water, thus allowing a wide variety of drinks to be made. On dilution with tap water to 12% alcohol content, a drink is produced with the same alcohol content as normal wine, but in which the reduction in taste of the original (red) wine base is masked by the fruit flavour present. On dilution with soda water, effervescent drinks which do not taste watery can be made.</p> |
