The process according to the invention serves for producing a weatherproof board, for example for garden tables, table-tennis tables or tables for other games. This board has an upper layer (8) of a synthetic resin and a lower layer (9) of a synthetic-resin mortar. In addition, it has an edging (6) of PVC strips, marking surfaces (7), embedded into the synthetic-resin layer (8), and fastening elements (11), cast into the synthetic-resin mortar layer. The synthetic-resin layer (8) is first of all dried, after which the synthetic-resin mortar layer (9) is introduced and subjected to high-frequency vibration and the PVC strips, which are chemically partly dissolved thereby, are pressed by pressing elements perpendicularly with respect to the board, so that a shrinkage of the synthetic-resin mortar layer in the direction of the board is not prevented on account of a slight displaceability of the PVC strips. <IMAGE>
