PURPOSE:To obtain a dot type printer designed capably of increasing printing speed in such a mannet that a carrier is able to move slantly in printing line direction of a printing paper and a rectilinear dot lucus is obtained in parallel with the printing line direction by continuous feeding of the printing papers. CONSTITUTION:A angle theta is given to a top surface 5a of a guide rail 5 which guides and supports a carrier 7 which is being pressed by a spring 27 at all times and conducts right-and-left reciprocating action following rotation of a eccentric cam 20. A printing papers 2 are continuously sent out in the vertical direction at a speed of v, a dot head 1 is operated on the basis of the printing command and a wire 10 is hit on the printing paper through a ribbon 29 to form a dod matrix. From the relationship among the carrier 7 speed V, the dot locus 3, a forming speed v, an appropriate setting is made to satisfy an equation of v=V sin theta=V cos theta so that a rectilinear dot locus 3 can be obtained in parallel with the printing direction. |
