摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of an permanent light energy at arbitrary places by launching a huge gas laser comprising a reflex mirror and a side plate on the orbit of a geostationary satellite, and feeding the laser beam generated therein into the earth. CONSTITUTION:On the specular surface of a disk-shaped reflex mirror 1 having the diameter ranging from ten to hundreds of meters and the radius of curvature ranging from hundreds of meters to several kilometers is evaporated a high reflectivity material such as gold and the like. In the opposite site about hundreds of meters to several kilometers ahead of this reflex mirror 1, the second reflex mirror 3 which is the same size and shape as the mirror 1 and have a coupling hole 4, i. e., a laser beam output hole disposed in the center thereof, is arranged, and the mixture of CO2, He and N2 gases is enclosed in the cylinder comprising a transparent side wall 5 capable of transmitting the sunlight. Conducting an attitude control of the system made in this way, the optical axis 6 thereof is directed to the earth, and a laser beam 8 generated from the hole 4 by the sunlight 10 incident upon the wall 5 is fed into the earth.
