PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of troubles, such as paper jam, by keeping a proportion of ammonia to steam in the gas mixture in developing at a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:When the gas mixture of ammonia and steam is supplied into a developing section as a developer, the ratio of ammonia to steam in the gas mixture is kept at 3/7 to 7/3, preferably 4/6 to 6/4 by mole ratio. Keeping this range occurrence of water drops to be difficult and copies with a little ammoniacal smell to be obtained. |
