<p>A method of making a modular harness assembly comprising two connectors each having a row of terminals connected to respective ends of wires of a bundle of insulated wires which extend between the connectors; comprising the steps of locating the two connectors spaced apart with their terminal rows in parallel relation; arranging a series of insulated wires in spaced, parallel generally coplanar relation with opposite ends of respective wires in alignment with corresponding terminals of respective connectors; connecting the wires to the terminals; rotating the connectors in the same sense about parallel axes perpendicular to the plane of the wires to draw the wires into a bundle of contiguous wires; and, securing the wires in the bundle. The invention includes apparatus fox performing the method.</p> |
