PURPOSE:To enhance durability and moisture resistance and obtain stable images by providing the specific transparent protection layer on a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The solution of the mixture composed of 70 to 98.5wt% of the silane coupling agent of formula I (R1 is alkyl of C1-4, vinyl gamma-methacryloxypropyl, etc.; R2 is hydroxy ethyl alkyl ether, alkyl of C1-4; l is 0 to 2; m is 2 to 4), 1 to 20wt% of the copolymer of the compound of formula II (R3 is H, methyl; R4 is H, alkyl of C1-4; n is 1 to 4; q is 1 to 3) and the compound or maleic anhydride of formula [R5 is H, methyl; R6 is -COOR7(R7 is H, alkyl of C1-12, glycidyl, etc.), cyano, phenyl, etc.] and 0.1 to 10wt% of the molecular chain both end hydroxyl group diorganopolysiloxane of formula IV (R8 is alkyl of C1-4, phenyl; Z is 2 to 25) is coated and dried on a photoconductive layer, whereby the transparent protection layer composed primarily of partial hydrolyzate is formed. |
