PURPOSE:To increase the application range of the antenna by forming the power distributing primary radiator into the parallel feed type. CONSTITUTION:Power distributing primary radiator 10 featuring the waveguide slot antenna structure consists of four units of distributor unit 11. Each unit 11 receives the parallel feed via feeder 12 from transmission source 2 and features 1/4 length compared with conventional 1-piece waveguide slot array antenna, i.e., 1/4 slot number in the form of the waveguide slot array antenna. Accordingly, the frequency band of radiator 10 becomes 4 times as much as that of the 1-piece antenna. Figure 6 shows the transmission-type phased array antenna consisting of wave receiving element 3, variable phase unit 4 and wave transmitting element 5 each, which is then installed in opposition to radiator 10 with a narrow space of under one wavelength or so. |
