<p>The ultrasonic head is in the form of a handle mounted on a hinged arm which in turn is rotated at least partly by a motor drive about certain axes and /or more along select-axes. The whole is mounted on a stand. The handle (14) has finger operated control elements for operation by the hand holding it. They control individual motor drives directly from the handle during object examination. The finger operated control elements are situated at an ergonomically acceptable viewpoint and are arranged as key, disc or peripheral ring switches, and may be manipulated by the thumb and one finger or between two fingers.</p> |
