Rod end jumping machine is electrically heated and has jumping up appts., a workpiece guide and an anvil arranged in succession, with an induction heater between the guide and the anvil. The induction heater has >=1 windings and has a cylindrical section which surrounds the workpiece and has a flared conical part which receives the anvil which is connected to a positioning element by means of which it can be withdrawn backwards at the moment of jumping up.
