The electric motor with voltage supply connection, providing drive for a window-raising assembly in a motor vehicle, is connectable with two operative positions and a rest position, via a polarity reversing switch within a predetermined range of its rotary movement, the motor (10) also provides drive for a door-locking element (13). It is controlled for this action by an additional switch (40). The locking and unlocking process may be confined to times when the window is closed, and the additional switch may provide for window closure and for door locking and unlocking. Wiring and operation are simplified.
