<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a decorative PVC sheet having decorative patterns at both faces, by applying a PVC film to a release sheet having decorative printed pattern, printing the surface of the PVC sheet with a decorative pattern, foaming or gelling the PVC layer by heating, and finally releasing the PVC sheet from the release sheet. CONSTITUTION:A release sheet is manufactured, e.g. by laminating a polyester film or thin paper with a polyethylene film, etc. using an adhesive, or by coating a sheet of paper with a release coating such as acrylic resin varnish. The release sheet thus manufactrued is printed with a decorative pattern. It is recommended to coat the whole surface of the sheet with a clear ink, and then apply the decorative pattern on the clear ink layer which acts as a surface-protection layer after releasing. The printed surface is coated with a foamable or non-foamable vinyl chloride plastisol, by knife-coating, etc., and heated at 110-150 deg.C for 0.5-2 min. A decorative pattern is printed to the semi-gelled PVC layer, coated with a surface- protection layer, if necessary, and heated to foam or completely gel the PVC layer. After foaming, etc., the release sheet is separated from the PVC sheet to obtain the objective decorative sheet.</p> |
