The filter device consists of a filter vessel (1) and a filter bag (2) which is inserted in the filter vessel. The outlet (4) of the filter vessel is constructed as a syphon which consists of a bent tubular piece (5) whose intake aperture (6) is arranged directly above the lowest point of the filter vessel (1) and whose outlet aperture (7) is arranged outside the filter vessel and is located lower than the intake aperture (6).
