ELECTRICAL TERMINAL AND MODULAR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

An electrical terminal comprises a first plate having a slot into which an insulated wire can be forced to connect the electrically conductive core of the wire to the first plate. The terminal also has a receptacle portion formed by parallel second and third plates depending from the first plate, the planes of which are at right-angles to that of the first plate, and which have slots to receive a further slotted plate e.g. the first plate of a further and similar terminal. The terminal can be arranged in an insulating housing with the first plates extending from one side and the second plates extending from the other, to mate with slotted plate terminals in a further insulating housing, thus providing a modular assembly for the connection of two groups of wires.
