The personal scales (bathroom scales) comprises a balance body (10) comprising, inside it, a measurement mechanism, and, at its upper part, a moving plate (12) for receiving the person to be weighed and a display device which can be seen from above through a lens (14). The personal scales (bathroom scales) furthermore comprise a flexible cover (2) covering a padding material (1) and having the appearance of a cushion, and in which the body (10) is located. A zip closure (6) makes it possible to close the cover (2) after the balance body has been placed inside it. This cover has a window opposite the display device in order to allow the reading of the weight displayed. A glass (20) makes it possible to fix the edge of the window to the part of the body (10) surrounding the lens (14). <IMAGE>
