The flat heating or cooling unit is designed for fitting into floors, walls and ceilings. It has a looped heating or cooling pipeline held in a thermally insulated baseplate and covered by a plate. The moisture in the building and the condensate is prevented from being deposited in the voids. The thermal conducting layer (6) placed over the thermally insulating baseplate (3) consists of corrosion protected, material with good thermal conductivity. It has finely distributed perforations or close mesh weave or coarse granular structure. This ensures vapour permeability. On the upper side of the baseplate (3) are fitted moisture removing channels which are connected with the wall edge strip (9).
