The twin wheel fitting has an elastic ring (5) insert between the tyres to prevent stones and debris from clogging the space between the tyres and being flung out when travelling along normal roads. The insert ring is shaped to lie against both wheel flanges (3) for radial support. The system provides a simple fitting for the twin tyres. The ring can be incorporated in the twin flanges, with a shaped outer ring of elastic material.
