<p>The invention relates to an overhead conveyor having a suspended carrier, the carrier including arms and spring means urging the arms towards each other into a position in which an article is held gripped by the arms. Further spring means are provided that, when the arms are in their open position, overcome the effect of the first spring means but movement of an article into the space between the arms overcomes the effect of the second spring means to allow the first spring means to be effective to hold the arms together.</p> |
