Ethylene along with methane may be produced by an integrated process involving a first stage hydropyrolysis of a hydrocarbon oil in the presence of hydrogen followed by cracking of the hydropyrolysis effluent, separating and recycling the hydrogen and ethane and recovering the methane and ethylene. |
