Open profile light alloy wheel disc - has several cut=outs backed by decorative trim disc

The light alloy wheel rim is cast with a series of large openings (15) which are backed by a separate trim disc (14) bolted in place with the wheel studs. The trim disc covers the otherwise unsightly brake drums or discs and prevents dust from the brakes from soiling the wheel. The trim disc is pressed with a series of ribs to prevent vibration. It is shaped to press against the openings from the inside without rattling and it may be coloured for an improved effect.
