A wire connector is provided to enhance the joining strength between two shield shells of a female-male type wire connector through compensation of eccentricity between the shield shells, by forming plural protrusions on a lateral surface of one of the shield shells such that a portion of the protrusions is longer than the other protrusions. A female-male type wire connector is used to connect wires of an electronic automobile and has a first shield shell(14) and a second shield shell(24) for shielding electromagnetic waves. A plurality of protrusions(40) is formed on a lateral surface of the first shield shell. The first shield shell and the second shield shell are joined to each other through elasticity of the protrusions. At least one of the protrusions is longer than the other protrusions so that any one of the protrusions of the first shield shell is not separated from the second shield shell by compensating eccentricity between the shield shells when terminals within the first shield shell are connected to terminals within the second shield shell.
