Suitable for use on high pressure hydraulic systems for automobiles, the connection makes a joint between a circular pipe (12) and a smaller pipe (13). A collar (11) is used to locate a screw jack holding the end of the small pipe. This collar is of sheet metal, its neds (21a, 21b) overlapping to provide a hole locating a nut (17) with a square flange (18). The nut receives a hollow bolt (16) holding the end of the small pipe. The overlapping collar ends both having curved end returns. One return (19) may be slotted to interlock with the counter end, and the returns may combine to engage the nut flange (18) to prevent its rotation. The small pipe end may have circumferential beading (14b) which is pressed in a reciprocally shaped mouth to the main pipe aperture (15).
