<p>The boat propulsion mechanism forms an automatic scull, having an actuating handle pivoting on the boat, e.g. on the sternboard, and a propulsion blade. The blade (2) turns on an axis coinciding with that of the handle (21) to opposite sides of a central plane through an angle of less than 90 deg., typically between 30 and 60 deg.. The axis of rotation of the blade can be offset parallel to the handle axis, separating the blade into equal surfaces. There can be springs opposing the tendency of the blade to turn to either side of the central plane.</p> |
