<p>The machine has twin opposed revolving blade cutters, a planetary transmission causing the cutters to follow epicycloidal trajectories. Each transmission system includes a prim. central gear wheel which may or may not be stationary, and which meches with a satellite gear wheel. The satellite drives a sec shaft to which the blade is keyed and the sec shaft is mounted on a forked radial arm which is keyed to the drive shaft. The rotation of the drive shaft, thus, pivots the radial arm and causes the blade to orbit, whilst the gear wheel drives the satellite and causes the blade to rotate about the offset axis.</p> |
