<p>Appts. for distributing small does of liquid moulding materials simultaneously to several individual moulds comprises a vessel with a coaxial impellor and with an annular array of radial outlets near the base. Each outlet leads via a flexible or semi-rigid hose to one mould, the lengths of all hoses being similar to balance the discharge rates. Pref. the hoses are aligned with the moulds via a guide manifold. Used esp. for priming moulds for small articles such as shoe heels with =50g quantities of eg polyurethane resin. Compared with conventional tree- or cascade-branched manifolds, the pressure drop along each outlet is similar and the single hoses are more readily purged and rinsed clean.</p> |
