PURPOSE:To enable only the region to be copied of originals to be copied by specifying the copying region by using a reference index and a region index. CONSTITUTION:An X-index 56, which consists of a knob and an index part 34 and a holding part 35, is provided with a home position detector H1 and image end detecting element H2. When copying operation is started by setting the index 56 at the reference point being an ordinary original position, the detector H1 integral with the X-index has also moved and therefore the scanning system moves backward but is defined by the limiter in the position deviated from its intrinsic home position and moves forward from this position, thence it stops in the detection position of the detector H2. A Y-index 57 also has a knob and index part 38 and the cipiable region on the opposite side of reference is determined depending upon the sizes of copying material simply by moving its reference and in cooperation to this, the lens also moves by the spedified difference to prevent cutting of the images. Thereby, only the necessary region of the original may be copied. |
