The grill (4) is opened by a hooked part and remains open because it is supported on the crosspiece of the holder (10) with the food to be cooked resting on the grill grid (4) below. When the grid is closed, rings (3) are pushed along the peripheral bars until they reach the required closing position according to the thickness of the food. The grill grid can be tilted automatically by raising and lowering the handle (20). A fixed frame interacts with the movable support frame (10) which supports the grill (1) and has two notched seats (15, 16) attached along opposite longitudinal sides of the fixed frame. The seats take up the freely movable rotary pins (5) on the grill rack.
