PURPOSE:To estimate easily pile distribution of charged material in a blast furnace, by measuring continuously the vibration of movable armor while the charge being fed with a vibrometer installed on the movable armor at the top of the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:A vibrometer is attached, e.g., to the driving shaft 5 of movable armor 3 at the top of a blast furnace in order to measure continuously the vibration of movable armor while the charge being fed. The pile distribution of the charge in the furnace is estimated on the basis of the measured value and a previously determined parameter, e.g., the falling locus of the charge at each set angle of the movable armor. |
