PURPOSE:To ensure a high-speed and easy process for the display of the color plane patterns or the like by writing through the logic operation the color information of the pattern and the control data each in terms of those written previously and those to be written thereafter. CONSTITUTION:Display color code 600 and plane line decision code 601 are written into display color code memory 310 and memory address 602 of the plane line decision memory each. In this case, the code written previously into memory 310 and code 600 to be written are written into memory 310 through the logic operation at writing circuit 701 based on the state of the code wirtten into memory 311 and code 601 to be written respectively. At the same time, the code written previously into memory 311 and code 601 to be written are written into memory 311 through the logic operation at color code writing control circuit 700. Then memory 310 and 311 are read out in parallel and sequence through reading address 603.
