PURPOSE:To increase the operation speed of a circuit to be realized by providing a switching matrix of programmable wiring with direct connection lines passing no signal delay elements. CONSTITUTION:A switching matrix 2 is provided with direct connection lines 2-1a to 2-1c which directly connect partial wiring elements 3 connected to the matrix 2 to one another without passing switch elements which freely connect wiring elements to one another, and the other wiring elements 3-3, 3-4, 3-7, 3-8, 3-9 to 3-11, and 3-13 to 3-15 are freely connected to one another by programmable switch elements in the same manner as conventional. Since wiring lines of wiring elements 3 connected by direct connection lines do not pass elements which delay signals like switch elements, they are used for long- distance connection. Thus, the operation speed of a circuit to be realized with a programmable integrated circuit is increased. |
