PURPOSE:To provide better access of a grinding fluid to cutting points by means of high-pressure flows of the grinding fluid filled within grooves and by means of the tight contact of grinding wheels; the both of which destroy high-pressure air current near the cutting points, produced by the outer surfaces of grinding wheels and the centrifugal forces inside the wheels due to their high revolutions. CONSTITUTION:Multiple grinding wheels 65-70 and spacers 71-75 are assembled alternately to a spindle 63 as a built-up grinding wheel set. Each of grooves 89-94 which consist of a combination of alternately positiond filler plates 79a-84a, 85, and block spacers 79b-84b, is set to face to each of the wheels 65-70 respectively. A grinding fluid that has flowed out to the groove from each passage is filled into a filling room in the filler plate. Composing this room with three surrounding sides; the air inhaling side relative to the direction of the wheel rotation, the fluid exhaust side, and the wheel spindle side, enables a high-volume of the grinding fluid to reach close to the cutting points without inhaling the air through narrow gaps between the groove and the wheel. |
