<p>A pump for dealing with small quantities of liq. for lab. or medical purposes, consists of a flexible bag with integral inlet and outlet pipes. The pump is operated by compressing the inlet pipe and the bag. The outlet pipe is then compressed whilst pressure on the inlet pipe and bag is released. Liq. then flows into the distended bag and when it is full the inlet pipe is compressed. The pressure on the outlet is next relaxed and pressure applied to the bag to squeeze out the liq. The cycle is then repeated.</p> |
