Binary vapour power system - uses waste heat of primary cycle to pump secondary liquid to gain potential energy

The exhaust of a steam turbine flows in parallel through several condensers which are arranged vertically above each other below the turbine. The heat extracted in condensing the exhaust is used to evaporate an organic liquid with a low latent heat. The liq. flows through the condensers in series and rises as a vapour to the level of the turbine. After doing useful work as a vapour it is condensed at the high level and the liquid falls to the level of the lowest condenser. It drives a hydraulic turbine at this level which is coupled to a generator.
