<p>The bottle closure is specially for wine bottles with a pot-shaped screw cap which is screwed onto an external thread of the bottle neck. A domed plastic cover (7, 13) in the shape of a champagne cork is fitted over the screw cap (5) and encloses the threaded section of the screw cap (5) tightly at a shank (9, 11). The cover also has a base (8, 12). The wall thickness of the shank (9, 11) and the distance of the outer face of the base (8, 12) from the screw cap (5) are so chosen that the cover fills the gaps when fitted.</p> |
